Issue #10
Back to live streaming, getting an Award from Sentry, and a very cool web dev stack.
Back to Live Streaming
I’m super happy to announce that I’m back to my live streams on YouTube! I’ve started a new streaming series in which we’ll build an Errors Playground. The idea is to build a monorepo with multiple frameworks in which we’ll document, reproduce and show how to fix common errors that occur when working with that specific framework. I think it’s going to be an interesting project, and it’ll produce an interesting learning resource for the developers. It also has a huge potential to become an OSS project where lots of developers contribute by documenting the errors in their favorite frameworks. I’m streaming on Wednesdays at 2PM ET (GMT-4). I’m always creating the Upcoming Live Stream on my channel so you can see the precise time and also get notified when I go live. So tune in in one of my live streams and let’s hang out! Oh and by the way, please subscribe to my channel, it’ll make me really happy! See you in the next stream!
The Work in Progress Award
I’ve been awarded with the “Work in Progress” award at Sentry! Here’s some context: every quarter we nominate our colleagues who demonstrated Sentry’s values (scroll down a bit to see them), and during our All Hands meeting we announce the awardees. I’m super happy that I got the “Work in Progress” award! It does feel great getting recognition for the things you do.
Epic Stack
Recently I've stumbled upon Kent C. Dodds’s Epic Stack and I think it looks really good! It immediately got me looking into Remix, and it is a really good framework. I like the Remix DX. I definitely want to build something with Remix now to really explore the framework. What got my attention to the Epic Stack was the usage of Docker to deploy your app on actual machines, and the philosophy of avoiding third-party services. It also comes with a pre-built support for Sentry. Kent explains why it’s okay to make an exception from avoiding third-party services in this document.
